Thirsty dogs and chain-smoking chimpanzees!

Ohio craft beer...Another Friday and another great craft beer on pour this Friday. We'll sample Akron OH's Thirsty Dog Brewing - we'll have their Old Leghumper robust porter and Twisted Kilt scotch ale. Quality scotch ales are unique and these guys brew a great one.

Rumor alert...There's been a rumor that we've hired a chimpanzee to handle all our online media and marketing efforts. Well, it's true. We have a chain-smoking chimpanzee handling all our media and marketing. In fact, he's typing this now. You can read more about superior primate intelligence here.

Artisan cheese...Remember...Meg Hall will be here with another round of extraordinary cheese this Saturday starting at 11am!

Friday: Cheese to You & Virginia Microenterprise Network

Friday is a big day! Join us for our monthly cheese event presented by Meg Hall of "Cheese to You". We'll be sampling fine wine and discovering new cheese. Come at either 5pm or 6pm to experience the entire tasting, or, drop in at your convenience and join the group. Complimentary.

We'll also be welcoming the Virginia Microenterprise Network Friday. Visitors state-wide will be in Staunton for the conference “Revitalizing Neighborhoods through Entrepreneurism”, and touring some of the independent businesses that make Staunton so unique, including us! We're honored.

Curious about the amazing "electro-wienie apparatus" featured last week? Have no fear. We made you a quick video featuring this vintage food item here.

See you soon,
Brian & Katie

Late Summer Cheese...for You

This Friday evening we welcome back cheese expert Meg Hall. She will present more than a dozen late summer cheeses to sample along with two select wines. This is a great opportunity for you to have specialty cheese cut to order and discover new favorites.

We have two tastings, one at 5pm and the next at 6pm. You are welcome to stop by any time...but you'll miss part of the presentation and will have to wait until her return next month!

Speaking of summer... did you know that Meg's parents are the authors of the book "Summer of a Thousand Cheeses"? The book traces artisan cheese production in America. You can order online or pick up a copy here.

See you Friday!

Back By Popular Demand: Cheese to You

Did you have the pleasure of attending last month's Cheese to You event with Meg Hall? Participants enjoyed wine and had the opportunity to taste artisanal cheese from around the Virginia, and the world.

Well, we've got great news. There's plenty more cheese to explore!

Starting this Friday Meg will be coming once a month to share the latest cheeses ripened to perfection. As before she will be explaining each of them and answering your questions. You are welcome to pair the cheese with a sample of wine on us, too.

Join us this Friday. We ask that you arrive for one or two time slots: either 5pm or 6pm. Meg will start her presentation on the hour and then slice your selected cheese(s) to take home.

Join us for this tasty and educational series.
